On Monday 7th November 2016 the Ricardo Motorcycle Conference 3.0, Riding Future Technologies took place in Milan.

Once again, the event took place the day before the EICMA show opened its doors to press and industry visitors. Our aim was to build on the success of the previous years, bringing together global motorcycle experts in Milan. The event picked up on a number of topics focusing both on the current trends and future drivers of the motorcycle world, and was this year extended by three Expert Dialogues.

Many thanks to all the participants who made this 3rd conference a success!

An audience of over 130 motorcycle industry professionals from 15 countries attended. The event was opened by Ricardo Motorcycle Managing Director, Robert Hentschel, followed by a keynote address from Vinay Harne, President of New Product Development at TVS Motor, India. The technical papers were delivered by engineers from Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Bosch, Bosch Car Multimedia, BRP-Rotax, Soluzioni Ingegneria, Ricardo, European Commission, Coventry University, Graz University.

This year delegates were also provided with the opportunity to participate in an interactive ‘Expert Dialogue’ in addition to the main conference programme. Specialists from automotive and motorcycle engineering shared their latest technologies and developed ideas in conjunction with delegates as to when and how they might be applied to future motorcycle development.

The conference itself took place at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, in Sala del Cenacolo, an impressive frescoed hall in a 16th century building. The day concluded with a networking evening at Deus ex Machina in an area that is very fittingly known as being at the heart of motorcycle customizing in Milan. All those present capitalized on the possibility to expand their network of like–minded people, making and renewing valuable global motorcycle industry contacts while enjoying the atmosphere in a relaxed and interesting venue.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 4th Ricardo Motorcycle Conference, on 6th November 2017 in Milan!
